Industry Exclusive:
2011 Professional Remodeler
Market Leaders
Remodeling is local. While some markets are starting to see positive growth coming out of the Great Recession, others continue to struggle.
This year's Market Leaders are no different. There are places like Boston where the top companies saw solid upticks in business in 2010. And then there are metro areas like Phoenix where, despite rising home sales, plummeting home prices have kept remodeling activity severely depressed.
The annual Market Leaders list, which identifies the largest remodelers in 19 top remodeling markets, was compiled through a combination of research by Professional Remodeler staff and information provided by the listed companies.

The Russo's kitchen is more than 50 years old and full of unwelcoming
qualities. The cabinets are crammed to the brim, with doors that
won't close and splintery sides. Outdated appliances, wood paneling,
a dropped ceiling and yellowing linoleum floors add to the horror.
J. Schwartz LLC was contacted due to its reputation, to provide
labor and materials to complete all phases of the kitchen renovation.
The project took place over two weeks during the summer of 2008
in Conshohocken, PA. This was a complete demolition and renovation
project, including a new electrical and lighting system, plumbing,
HVAC, floors, cabinets, counters, paint and back splash. All of
the appliances were also new and included a refrigerator, disposal,
microwave, range, warming drawer and hood.
